Paper Technologist Career Description
Paper technologists are concerned with the manufacture of pulp, paper and cardboard. This industry is involved in the conversion of raw materials (wood and bagasse) into primary products such as paper and paperboard, which are in turn converted to final products such as books, boxes, etc.

Paper technologists' control the manufacture of paper products. They are involved in all the processes in the manufacture as well as quality control over the final product. The processes that are required to convert raw material into the finished product are so many that paper technologists have a variety of job opportunities in the pulp and paper industry itself and in allied industries.

Paper technologists should possess a scientific aptitude and an analytical reasoning ability. They must have an interest in mechanics and it is very important that they should be practical.
