Customer Service Agent Career Description
Customer service agents (CSA) look after the interests of passengers from the moment they report at the booking office, in a city or at an
airport, until boarding time and again from the time the passengers disembark from the aircraft and return to the airport building.
What am I going to do in this occupation?
Customer service agents fill key positions at all the airport. The services of customer service agents are required at airports as well as booking offices. When employed at the airport itself, the customer service agents manage various counter duties such as making reservations, ticketing, the calculation and collection of excess baggage charges, documentation and assisting passengers in general in complying with immigration and customs formalities.
Customer service agents also issue the passengers their travel tickets and before the passengers board the aircraft, they verify the passenger list to see whether all passengers have gone through the boarding gates. Customer service agents working at reservation offices handle telephone sales and reservations. They have to be prepared to work shifts.
